LEO Transition Strategy

Board-ready transition strategy, options paper with quantified trade-offs, and recommended pathway for the client's connectivity estate through the 2026–2028 window.

Typical duration4–8 weeks
Engagement typeFixed-fee engagement

Overview

A four-to-eight-week fixed-fee engagement that produces the strategic assessment an organisation needs before it can meaningfully evaluate supplier proposals. Designed for government infrastructure operators, regulated telcos, and critical enterprise buyers whose connectivity decisions have operational and regulatory consequences.

Outcomes

  • Current state assessment of connectivity estate across fixed, mobile, satellite, and operational technology layers
  • Future state architecture taking account of LEO transition and direct-to-device capability progression
  • Sovereign and resilience analysis including multi-constellation redundancy options
  • Commercial and procurement strategy with outcome-based, availability-based, and traditional service contract options
  • Implementation sequence with quarterly decision points and dependencies

How we work

Three phases over four to eight weeks. Weeks 1–2: current-state assessment (connectivity inventory, asset-management dependence, SCADA architecture). Weeks 3–4: future-state options testing against board risk appetite. Weeks 5–6: translation into procurement architecture and commercial model. Fixed fee priced on the outcome, not billed hours.

Who this is for

  • Government infrastructure operators
  • Critical enterprise and emergency services
  • State and local government utilities
  • NBN Co and wholesale connectivity
